Welcome to album review Tuesdays here on the channel and tonight we are going deep beneath the earth into Poland for a look at a pretty recent OSDM band that hails from Warsaw with Clairvoyance-Threshold Of Nothingness.

Threshold Of Nothingness was released in 2022 on Blood Harvest Records. Now the band has also released their self titled demo in 2020 on Putrid Cult Productions.

So before we get into the review im going to give you guys some background information on the band. Clairvoyance borrow heavily from the Incantation school of thought both in aesthetics and their approach to riffcraft.

Their all encompassing atonality collides against tritones and chromaticism, or else they break up the chaos with labored doom passages at unexpected junctures. But Clairvoyance also take the reverse approach at times, whereby a track gradually builds from a slow but persistent doom tempo, with the guitars piling on the layers with each repetition, to the point where the tension, waiting for the release, becomes almost unbearable, only for the music to explode into chaotic blasting just when you had given up hope. The chaos is augmented by liberal use of staccato power chords that add a throbbing, abrasive contrast to the tremolo sections.

Alright so the lineup is as follows:
Adrian Drums (2019-present)
Denis Guitars (2019-present)
Maciej Vocals (2019-present)
Lipek Guitars (2020-present)
Kacper Bass (2021-present)
