On May 15, 2025, a disturbing incident occurred in Currituck County, North Carolina, when 35-year-old Samantha Spoor boarded a school bus transporting students from Moyock Middle School. According to reports, Spoor confronted the students with profane language and directed a racial slur at Savannah Bailey, a Black eighth-grade student. Another student captured the incident on video and has since gone viral, drawing widespread condemnation.

In the video, Spoor shouts, “Sit the f–k down. Ain’t none of you gonna do f–cking sht. Record it for your motherf–cking mama, I live over here. Send her. F–cking n—-r.”

Witnesses reported that Spoor's outburst was triggered by an alleged incident involving her son, who she claimed had been bullied by other students on the bus.

Following the incident, Spoor was arrested and charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, and communicating threats. She was released on a $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 27.
