The Sewer

I recently heard Congressman Tim Burchett say that Washington D.C. is not a swamp because a swamp is a necessary part of nature. He calls Wasahington a sewer. That though may not even be correct because a sewer is so necessary for a functioning society Washington D.C. is made up of a bunch of parasites trying to grab part of the 4 trillion plus we send to Washington each year. Yes, there are some good people in Washington, but its mostly about staying in office, not statesmanship. The country is nearly 37 trillion in debt growing at a trillion dollars every hundred days. Democrats are a lost cause, but how can a Republican not want to take action to stop the debt. A few are, but most of them hate the idea of cutting spending. The disastrous Republican, Mitch McConnell say he didn't know anyone who lost by spending more money. That says it all. It's about staying in office and not doing what is right for the country.
The country is in such a mess, it will be tough to dig out, but it has to be done if we are going to save the country. The government has gone so far past what the Founders and Framers set in place in the Constitution. If the country doesn't return to the Founders and Framer's vision then our beloved United States of America won't survive. It's well past time for Republicans get it together and realize why they are there.
