Apatros Review Ep-0159: Plumbers Don't Wear Ties [PC / 3DO, 1994]

AR-0159: Originally an extremely obscure romantic comedy visual novel that was originally released onto Windows PC platforms in the mid-1990s before getting a slightly expanded port for the Panasonic 3DO gaming console, this extremely stupid 'game' got quite the reputation when a certain gaming critic published a video tearing this thing a new backside in the late 2000s, effectively giving the game a now-legendary status as The Ultimate Bad Game.

To be honest, "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties" is completely inadequate for a videogame - all it is essentially a glorified slideshow dating sim where the player has to help bring together two people before their respective rivals break them up for good. The story is a thermonuclear cheese warhead & the acting sucks Goanna eggs, but this can be rightfully considered one of the very first visual novels ever released on PC, decades before the format became popular on homebrew gaming sites like itch.io.
