Autumn Leaves (Les Feuilles mortes)

A jazz standard composed by Joseph Kosma in 1945. The piece was originally given French lyrics by Jacques Prévert, and later received English lyrics by Johnny Mercer. "Autumn Leaves" is recognizable as a widely-reproduced tune, often being used to teach basic patterns and common motives in jazz. The piece can be broken down to a simple eight bar sequence, consisting of only a single-note melody. Branching off of that, several different arrangements can be formed quite easily. What I am playing is adapted from Nat King Cole's 1945 version. Enjoy!
