Prelude in C# Minor

This famous piece was composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff in 1892, while he was just 19 years old. It is also known as "The Bells of Moscow" because of its auditory similarity to the giant cathedral bells in the Kremlin. Rachmaninoff first performed the piece in September of 1892, and it immediately achieved popularity with the masses. Sadly, because of the immense demand for its performance, Rachmaninoff said he "...wish[ed he had] never written it". Thankfully, I have not had to play it that much, so I still quite like the piece. Enjoy!
