Early Autumn

This piece was written in 1947 by Ralph Burns and Woody Herman, with words added by Johnny Mercer in 1952. It was written for Ralph Burns' concert piece "Summer Sequence". One of the defining recordings of the piece was in late 1952 by Jo Stafford. From there, the piece sprang into pop culture. Enjoy!
