Several years after the events of Saints Row 2, the 3rd Street Saints have evolved into a "media empire". Josh Birk, a method actor who is preparing to film a movie based on the 3rd Street Saints, has accompanied Johnny Gat, Shaundi, and Playa as they prepare to heist the Stilwater 1st National Bank to better understand his role.

While looking for Phillipe Loren, Pierce finds a penthouse owned by the Morningstar and sees an opportunity to both strike at the gang and claim a new headquarters for the 3rd Street Saints, who have been using Shaundi's Loft since their arrival in Steelport.

Following Pierce's advice, he, Shaundi, and Playa plan to break into Powder – a designer gun store that deals with the Morningstar – in order to find out where Phillipe Loren is so that they can kill him in retribution for Johnny Gat's death.

With the information they got from the computer at Powder, Playa, along with Shaundi, Pierce, and a few members of the 3rd Street Saints, travel to Syndicate Tower in order to avenge Johnny Gat's death by finally killing Phillipe Loren. Following Loren's death and the apparent end of The Syndicate, the Saints return to Stilwater to have a funeral for Johnny Gat.
