Chetumal (from the Mayan: Cháak te' éemal ‘There where the rains come down’) is a Mexican city, capital of the state of Quintana Roo and head of the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, located on the Yucatán Peninsula on the shores of Chetumal Bay.
