Two Injured in Shooting Outside Meridian Mall, Suspect in Custody

OKEMOS, Mich. — A suspect is in custody and a lockdown has been lifted following a shooting outside the Meridian Mall in Okemos on Friday afternoon, according to the Meridian Township Police Department.

Authorities confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. in the parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods. Meridian Township Police Chief Rick Grillo stated that multiple gunshots were fired in the area.
