Rcb beat Pbks to enter final of IPL25

The Qualifier 1st Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium Mullanpur New Chandigarh on 29th May, 2025. In this match Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Punjab Kings by 8 wickets. In this match Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Punjab Kings while batting first were bundled out at paltry score of 101 runs in 14.1 overs and gave an easy target of 102 runs to Royal Challengers Bengaluru to win. In reply Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored 106 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 10 overs only and won the match by 8 wickets.
While batting first Punjab Kings had a disastrous start and their batters flopped miserably in front of RCB bowlers. Punjab Kings collapsed in the important match and lost the wickets at regular intervals.
Punjab Kings did not got the start from openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh who added only 9 runs from 8 balls for the first wicket and both were out very cheaply.
Priyansh Arya was first to go out caught by Krunal Pandya of the bowling of Yash Dayal after scoring 7 runs from 5 balls hitting one four. Prabhsimran Singh was second to go out caught by Jitesh Sharma of the bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar after scoring 18 runs from 10 balls hitting two fours and a six.
Then wickets fell like card leaves and Punjab batting was dented very deep to collapse.
Then Shreyas Iyer was next to go contributing only 2 runs from 3 balls. He was caught by Jitesh Sharma of the bowling of Josh Hazlewood. Josh Inglis was next to go after making 4 runs from 7 balls. Josh Hazlewood took his wicket caught by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Then Yash Dayal bold Nehal Wadhera who made 8 runs from 10 balls hitting 1 four. At this stage Punjab were in dire consequences reeling at 50 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and were at the brink of major collapse.
Even after this the fall of wickets continued and Punjab batting collapsed miserably. Then Shashank Singh was bold by Suyash Sharma who made 3 runs from 5 balls.
Musheer Khan was next to go LBW to Suyash Sharma and went back to pavilion without scoring. Suyash Sharma bowled splendidly and also bold Marcus Stoinis. He top scored with 26 runs from 17 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Harpreet Brar was ninth wicket to fall bold by Romario Shepherd after scoring 4 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai tried to consolidate and was last wicket to fall. He played a good innings of 18 runs from 12 balls hitting 1 four and 1 six. Kayle Jamieson remained not out without scoring
Suyash Sharma and Josh Hazlewood took three wickets. Two wickets were taken by Yash Dayal. One wicket each was taken by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Romario Shephered.
Punjab Kings were bowled out at paltry score of 101 runs in 14.1 overs and gave an easy target of 102 runs to RCB to win.
In reply Royal Challengers Bengaluru chasing a small target of 102 runs started very well with both openers Philip Salt and Virat Kohli going on with great guns and added quickfire 30 runs in 3.2 overs.
Virat Kohli after scoring superb 12 runs from 12 balls hitting 2 fours was first to go out caught by Josh Inglis of the bowling of Kayle Jamieson.Then Philip Salt with Mayank Agarawal continued good batting and further consolidated the innings.
They added 54 runs from 27 balls for the second wicket and further consolidated the innings. But Mayank Agarawal was second to go out after contributing quickfire 19 runs from 13 balls hitting 2 fours and a six.
Then Philip Salt with Captain Rajat Patidar played unbelievable innings and won the match for the RCB. They added unbeaten match winning 22 runs from 13 balls.
Philip Salt played the innings of his life and contributed 56 runs from 27 balls hitting 6 fours and 3 towering sixes. Rajat Patidar equally contributed valuable 15 runs from 8 balls hitting 1 four and 1 six. Both remained not out and won the match for RCB.
One wicket each was taken by Kayle Jamieson and Musheer Khan.
RCB played magnificently and scored 102 runs for 2 wickets in 10 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. Suyush Sharma was given the Player of the Match Award.
With this win RCB have reached to the Final of IPL-2025.
