Matt Gaetz goes inside CECOT

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz is the first American journalist to tour the "Tren de Aragua" ward in El Salvador's CECOT prison and speak with prisoners.

One prisoner he speaks with claims to have killed more than 50 people and was deported from Falls Church, Virginia.

“Americans are paying for the Tren de Aragua incarceration. It’s a bargain at $6 million,” Gaetz stated. “For that, El Salvador is actually treating the Venezuelan new arrivals better than their murderous countrymen.”

"El Salvador is a nation that understands violence. They have faced evil, fought monsters, defeated gangs, and liberated now, they are a peaceful and safe country for millions," Gaetz said. "There is much the U.S. can continue to learn from El Salvador. Until then, we should thank them for cleaning up their trash, and even helping us take out some of our own."
