Totally Radical - Renault Avantime

Salut! :D

One of my personal favourite cars, and one I often struggle to justify to those I know personally, the Renault Avantime, when taken at face value, is a very strange and obscure machine that attempted to combine people-carrier size with coupe style and aggression, only in its quest to unify these very differing design philosophies, it was perceived to have lost the appeal of both, leading to a sales calamity.

However, dig beneath the surface of the Avantime, and what can be found is a machine that was far more technologically and stylistically advanced than it had any right to be, and in many ways makes for a perfect coupe thanks to its capacity, road presence, practicality and economic operation, thereby making for perhaps the ideal daily driver with a hint of French panache.
