Military Drivers of the Southern Group of Forces Celebrate Their Professional Holiday at Their Combat Post in the Special Operation Zone

On May 29, Russia celebrates Military Motorist Day. Military drivers of the Southern Group of Forces commemorate their professional holiday by carrying out combat missions in the area of the special military operation.

The main responsibility of the motorists of the 76th Separate Battalion of Material Provision is the delivery of ammunition, food, and essential supplies directly to the front lines for units engaged in liberating the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics from Ukrainian armed forces.

An important factor in the successful completion of assigned tasks is maintaining military equipment in constant combat readiness. Drivers dedicate every free minute to servicing and repairing their "war chariots." All servicemen in the logistics battalion possess extensive experience in the SVO zone and have received state awards for their service.

Military Motorist Day was established on February 24, 2000, but traces its roots back to May 29, 1910, when the first training automobile company was created.
