I play ‘em both, dig up the gold outside town, and keep it for myself. “You two deserve each other,” I say, walkin’ off richer. Then there’s this “Lifting the Vale” gig. Some countess wants a fancy Akaviri artifact from a ruin called Pale Pass. I’m crawlin’ through snow and undead, cursin’ like I’m stuck in traffic on the Turnpike. Find the thing, hand it over, and she gives me a ring that boosts my strength. “Better than a gym membership,” I grunt, slippin’ it on. Feels like I could bench press a horse. In Chorrol, looking for this drunk nords fuckin' brother! I track this drunk Reynald to a tavern in Cheydinhal—guy’s a dead ringer for Christopher after a bender. Now, they got me clearering out shreks from their families home. Meanwhile, the Anvil guard got me chasing some sexy elf tail or some shit on the beach. Never going to the north again.

Now I’m jugglin’ Daedric schemes, Dragonborn heat, and my own Jersey hustle to stay alive. Mankar Camoran ain’t got a clue who he’s dealin’ with, capisce? Now, Pussy Jr., this priest Martin, the bastard emperor got me out here looking for spies, daedric artifacts, and the blood of a freakin God? Marone! We're fucked, my friend...

So yeah, I did their little games. Played their parts. Got my rewards. Some people might say I sold my soul. But you know what? I never had a soul to sell. I had a business.
