In Kendrick Lamar’s “TV Off,” the line:

“I take a G-pass, shit, yeah, watch a nigga do it” is Kendrick staking his claim.

A "G-pass" symbolizes street credibility
- permission to move through tough spaces without challenge. By saying “I take a G-pass,” Kendrick isn’t just waiting for permission - he’s seizing it.

Translation:
“I don't need your approval to be here - this is my (hip-hop) turf - if you can't deal with that or with me, then get out of my way”
