CONTINUE RUNNING THE RACE TO ACHIEVE VICTORY

Hebrews 12:1-2 New King James Version
12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

You know guys, I kind of find it ironic how we've become a society in which if you don't achieve first place, if you don't succeed according to somebody's standards, you're a complete failure. That the word loser is so prevalent certain people, because they think that their version of success is the only one that matters, when in reality they're the ones that are the failures. That's why I so admire and respect what Paul said in this morning scripture when it comes to running a race that it's not about placing first and second third fourth or anything else you're running it. And that it along the way you're going to make mistakes, and have setbacks, but it's how you learn from those things that really matters the most. I think that's why the questions from this morning's devotional really spoke to my heart on this matter, and I had to share them with you today please read these questions carefully, and I pray that God will challenge your heart to them.

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God showed me out of his word on this issue, through the vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I say both challenges as well as motivates you to realize, that it’s not about winning, but running the race with honor. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, pray that you take Paul's words regarding this issue to heart, and make sure that you’re running the race, and running it with honor and integrity. In other words, be here sure you’re training properly, by diving into the word every day, making sure that you're hearing and teaching sound doctrine, fellowshipping with people who are true believers in Christ, and that when you make mistakes and have setbacks, be willing to admit those mistakes, and learn from all of it. Ask God will help you remember that it's not about winning in the world's eyes when it comes to running the race, but that you are running it for Him. Remember guys, winning isn’t everything, but it’s about fighting, running, and relying in Christ Jesus every day to have the victory, so that when you see Him face to face it will be a glorious and wonderful one.
