Fantastic Four is MID! Test Screening Concerns Making Marvel PANIC!

Fantastic Four: First Steps isn't bad, it isn't good, it's mid. That's the description of test audiences so far and that's bad news for Marvel. Apathy is why the MCU is in the shape it's in right now and they can ill afford a forgettable set up film to catapult them into Phase 6 and beyond.

A return to the M-She-U is on the cards but audiences have rejected overt messaging in movies. Had they simply jangled the keys hard enough, they might have slipped by to dominate the later summer. As it stands, Fantastic Four looks to be a distant third place in the head-to-head-to-head with Jurassic World: Rebirth and James Gunn's Superman. Oh well...
