The Brandon Langhjelm Essay Contest

The Justice Centre’s annual essay contest engages young Canadians by providing a platform for them to voice their views on some of Canada’s most critical topics pertaining to individual rights and freedoms.

Named in honour of the late Brandon Langhjelm, who passionately advocated for civil liberties and strong academic writing, the essay contest celebrates academic excellence and fuels the ambitions of the next generation of scholars and leaders in Canada.

Eligibility: Canadians aged 15-25
Prizes: $3,500 worth of prizes
Theme: Critical topics around rights and freedoms
