📄"I Lift My Eyes" is more than a song. It’s a sacred meditation on Psalm 121 — a cry for help, a declaration of trust, and a reminder that God is not distant, but deeply present in every step of our journey.

Psalm 121 was sung by ancient pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. But its message is timeless. In every season of uncertainty, weariness, or danger, this psalm speaks to our human ache for protection — and God’s eternal promise to provide it.

In this video, we slow down and enter the words line by line. We begin with a reflection on what Psalm 121 meant then, what it means now, and how it continues to guide the soul that is searching for shelter.

Whether you're walking through a valley, climbing a mountain, or standing still in need — may this song remind you:
You are kept. You are seen. You are never alone.

📖 Psalm 121 (World English Bible)

1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills.
Where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved.
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 Yahweh is your keeper.
Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 Yahweh will keep you from all evil.
He will keep your soul.
8 Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in,
from this time forward, and forever more.

🎶 Lyric Meditation – “I Lift My Eyes”

Based on Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the hills—
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from Yahweh,
Maker of heaven and earth,
The One who spoke the stars into fire
And carved the rivers into the dust.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold — He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
The world may turn in shadow,
But He watches through the dark.

Yahweh is your keeper,
Your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not harm you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
When heat bears down or night presses in,
He is your quiet shield.

Yahweh will keep you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
He knows the paths you take,
The ones you feared, the ones you prayed.
He is near in every breath,
Holding the weight you cannot say.

Yahweh will keep your going out
And your coming in,
From this time forward, and forever more.
Not one step is forgotten,
Not one moment unloved.
Forever means forever —
And He is already there.
