Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) says all three times his bill, the Protection of Women in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, has been voted on, every single Senate Democrat shot it down. “We’ve got the Olympics here in a few years in LA. We’re going to have a lot of egg on our face if we don’t straighten up and start understanding the lay of the land and let women compete against women and men versus men,” he says. “Other countries coming in here, if they look at us and what we’re doing, they’re going to do exactly the same thing.” Sen. Tuberville says the bill will not be included in the House-passed reconciliation package.
