Faxom Firearms FX7- Precision 6.5 Creedmor Rifle

Today we’re testing the FX7 Pershing bolt-action rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor from Faxon Firearms at ParabellumAZ. This review—based on firsthand use—covers the 416 stainless receiver with ArmorLube DLC, the flame-fluted 4340 carbon-steel bolt with its buttery 70° throw, and the smooth TriggerTech trigger that made every shot feel effortless.

Wrapped around a button-rifled, nitride-finished 24″ barrel with a 1:8 twist, the FX7 proved its merit on the range. Its Remington 700 footprint means you can swap triggers, stocks, and magazines (AICS or AW) with ease. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, it delivered mild recoil, flat trajectories, and excellent long-range performance.

My test rifle featured an MDT/Faxon aluminum chassis and Skeleton stock with weight kits installed, tipping the scale at about 12.5 lbs. The added mass kept it planted through recoil and returned quickly to target. I appreciated the enlarged trigger-finger rest, though a folding mechanism and rear support would have taken it even further. Overall, this package shows that Faxon intended to compete with serious precision rigs right out of the box.
