Can Type 2 Diabetes Be Reversed ?

Diabetes is one of the fastest-growing health challenges in the world today.

According to a 2023 global study published in The Lancet, more than 529 million people are currently living with diabetes, with over 95% of them diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

That’s 1 in 10 adults worldwide — and the number is still rising.

Closer to home in Australia, 1.7 million Australians live with diabetes, and approximately 300 new cases are diagnosed every day.

It’s a silent epidemic affecting almost every family.

Diabetes used to be a death sentence before the discovery of insulin in 1921.

That discovery was truly miraculous and has saved countless lives over the past 100 years.

But even so, I wouldn’t wish this disease on anyone.

I remember a dear family friend who lost her long battle with diabetes.

Over time, she needed kidney transplants, lost her vision and both legs, and eventually, her body rejected the transplants.

She died prematurely — and watching that decline was absolutely heartbreaking.
