NIGERIA IS THE LARGEST IMPORTER OF GENERATORS IN AFRICA DUE TO LOW POWER SUPPLY
Streamed on:

Nigeria 🇳🇬holds the position as Africa’s top importer of generators, driven by chronic power shortages and an unreliable electricity grid. The widespread lack of consistent energy has made backup generators especially petrol and diesel models a necessity for millions of households and businesses. Reports from the International Energy Agency (IEA) and other energy experts reveal that more than 40% of the electricity used in Nigeria comes from privately owned generators. As a result, an extensive informal economy has emerged around the sale, fueling, and servicing of these machines, generating billions in annual revenue.
