Maddow Ignores Crimes By Illegal Aliens, Opens Show With Sympathy For 18-Year-Old In U.S. Illegally

Rachel Maddow has not covered cases of illegal immigrants raping, robbing, murdering, or harming American children and teens. Yet, on June 2, 2025, she opened her show—highlighting news she deems most important—with sympathy for an 18-year-old in the U.S. illegally.

Marcelo Gomes da Silva, an 18-year-old from Milford, MA, was detained by ICE on May 31, 2025, for being unlawfully present in the U.S. Maddow referred to him as a high school junior. While driving his father’s vehicle, he was stopped by ICE agents targeting his father. As an individual in the U.S. illegally, Marcelo now faces removal proceedings. ICE’s expedited removal policy prioritizes legal compliance, yet Democrats and the fake news advocate for law enforcement to overlook illegal presence.

The Democrat-activist news media defend people in the U.S. illegally but remain silent when illegal aliens molest, rape, murder, or cause other harm to Americans.
