Why Everyone Gets Mad at You for Relocating

As soon as you seriously considering relocating out of your home country and becoming an expat living abroad it is essentially a guarantee that some percentage of your friends, family, coworkers, associates, etc. will suddenly turn angry and will likely lash out. They might lash out at you, they might lash out at the places you want to move to. Where does this sudden, irrational, jealous anger come from?
