The Great White Dispacement Theory

The Great Replacement theory is a far-right conspiracy theory that claims white populations in Western countries are being deliberately replaced by non-white immigrants, especially from Muslim-majority countries, through mass migration and demographic changes. Popularized by French author Renaud Camus in his 2011 book Le Grand Remplacement, the theory alleges that this "replacement" is orchestrated by elites, often described as "replacists," aiming to undermine white European culture and identity. Mainstream scholars and experts have thoroughly debunked the theory as racist, unscientific, and based on misinterpretations of demographic data. Despite this, it has fueled xenophobia, white nationalist movements, and has been linked to violent extremist acts. The theory remains a controversial and dangerous narrative in discussions about immigration, race, and identity in Europe, the United States, and beyond.
