Philemon 14 New King James Version
14 But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA GOOD FRIENDS!!!
I know I've read passages on the issue of giving before, but there are things that resonate with me when it comes to this issue, that I'm sure many of you can relate to. Being brought up in the IFB (Independent Fundamental Baptist Church), we were taught improperly that giving was something you had to do or else. That if you weren't tithing but somebody said you were supposed to tithe, (In many cases it was beyond the 10% that was prescribed in the Old Testament.), you'd be under God's judgment ridiculous is it not? However, throughout the years, God has shown me that first and foremost, the IFB version of giving, is not biblical, but it's about giving straight from the heart. Not out of compulsion, coercion, or intimidation, but out of a willingness to do so.

I think that's why these questions from this morning’s devotional, are stirring up some things in my heart, as well as my mind about this issue, and I'd like to share these questions with you tonight. Please read these questions carefully, and I pray that God will challenge your heart through them too.

How have you been the recipient of another’s generosity?

What can you offer generously to someone?

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God showed me out of His Word on the issue of giving, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you helps you to understand the importance of sincere, and willing giving to the Lord. Come join me in this vlog tonight my friends and learn how to understand this precious truth for yourself! 😊

So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to echo something that I stated over a year ago, that I think applies now. I want you to think about how you give, and I pray that it's with an attitude of praise to God and not of begrudging, coercion, or fear. If you're giving on the basis of this, then I think you need to leave your church, and find a church that does not do this. Remember, you don't have to give money to show your love for God. It's not about how much you give, but that you do give. Ask God to show you who you can show His love to today, and show it. Maybe there's somebody out there that's struggling financially, in need of food, a tank of gas or anything at all. Most of all, I challenge you all today and every day to find different ways in which you can give, and if God can use you to show generosity to that person in this specific way, then go for it! God your very best, and do so with a cheerful, grateful, and willing heart.

UNTIL FRIDAY:

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL AND TRANQUIL EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS
