July 13, 1965 - Enjoy these color highlights of today’s All-Star Game at Minnesota’s Metropolitan Stadium.
Ron Santo’s scratch single in the seventh gave the National League a 6-5 victory over the American League in a slugfest dominated by five home runs. Willie Mays, Joe Torre, and Willie Stargell homered for the Nationals, Dick McAuliffe and Harmon Killebrew for the Americans.
With today’s victory, the National League took the series lead for the first time, 18-17-1.
