I had a hearing about USAID just a few months ago, and our recommendation from my Doge subcommittee is that we need to completely eliminate funding for USAID and shut down the program altogether.

USAID has been exposed, and there are facts to prove it. They have interfered in many foreign countries. They have interfered in foreign elections.

I would say they are involved in foreign wars. This is not aid to help people who, say, are hungry or sick.

That’s what many Americans think when they hear the word USAID.

But no, this is actually an organization that has been used in every way we are fed up with.

And I recommend, as chairwoman of the DOGE subcommittee, that we need to eliminate its funding completely and that we must end USAID."
