Arsenic and Old Lace (1944)

Directed by Frank Capra, based on the hit stage play by Joseph Kesselring. Cary Grant stars as Mortimer Brewster, a drama critic who discovers on his wedding day that his sweet, elderly aunts have been poisoning lonely old men and burying them in the cellar. As he tries to cover up their crimes and deal with his dangerously unhinged brother, chaos and farce ensue.
