Is the US Babylon? / WWY #shorts S102

It's a tough title to get past I know. But our feelings and wants don't (shouldn't) dictate Truth. To take this a step further we need to ask what does the Bible say? Because the Bible time and time again (pun intended I supposed) has had many prophecies fulfilled.

I, myself, believe we are at the beginning of The Tribulation. If you look at how the Bible defines Babylon, which country would fit the description the best?

Extremely wealthy and materialistic; a huge importer of goods (Rev 18:3, 11-13, 19)

Known for its world renowned business leaders (Rev 18:23) - implying it has one of the top economies in the world.

A military / political superpower, ruling over the leaders of the world (Rev. 17:18)

Hated by the Antichrist and his cohorts due to the military and economic power it holds (Rev 17:16)

Referred to as a prostitute and adulteress – spiritually abandoning Jesus in pursuit of other gods of the world. (Rev 17:5, 18:3) Similar to how Israel was referred to in scripture when it became apostate (Ezek. 16:2,14-17).

Culturally immoral exporting its culture - likely movies, music and Internet pornography (Rev 17:2, 18:3, 19:2)

Judgement will befall this nation - Disciples are told to exit this country before it is judged (Rev. 18:4)

Not inhabited ever again (Rev. 18:21-23) - ruling out several Mideast areas mentioned in the Millennium like Israel, Egypt, Assyria (Isa. 19:16-25)

This superpower nation will be completely and violently destroyed just prior to Jesus' return (Rev. 16:19, 17:16, 18:8, 19:2-3)
