Follow & Fill Zone Offense Concept

FOLLOW & FILL ZONE OFFENSIVE PRINCIPLE:

We stole the "Follow & Fill" zone offensive principle from the legendary Don Meyer. Coach Meyer spoke about this principle, amongst many others, while headlining the Tayler U. (IN) clinic in the late 90's.
This zone offensive action is predicated upon penetrating passes that force the players in the zone to cover a cutter &/or the rim, which leaves an area of the court empty. Simply put, follow a player who forces a zone defender to collapse &/or cover-down & fill his original position, looking to score.
