Western yoga practitioners often seem to be on either end of a spectrum...
1--All physical asana, like a physical exercise only -to the exclusion of the spiritual & mental.
2--More contemplative practices; meditation, pranayam, pratyahara, dyana -to the exclusion of the physical.
THEY'RE BOTH RIGHT! By simply working on our physical asana... the asanas work on us. The 5 elements, the 5 vayus. There's a lot going on, that we needn't even be consciously aware of. Our physical body (pranamaya kosha) is one important part of our multi-layered divine self. And IT'S ALL CONNECTED. 🙏
