Venezuelan illegal immigrant has been pretending to be a High School student

Yes, he was living life as a teenage student at a high school in Ohio, but police there say that was all fiction—and that he’s actually a 24-year-old Venezuelan migrant.

Yes, it’s really a bizarre story coming out of the state of Ohio. Police there arrested a 24-year-old Venezuelan man who they say was pretending to be an unaccompanied 16-year-old minor—all so he could attend a local high school, which he successfully did for nearly a year and a half. Take a look:

Perrysburg, Ohio police arrested Anthony Emanuel Labrador Sierra on Monday. He’s now facing charges of felony forgery. DHS told Fox that he overstayed his visa and first arrived in the U.S. in 2019, as a recipient of Temporary Protected Status, also known as TPS.

He was arrested during a traffic stop while riding as a passenger, and now faces charges for fraudulently enrolling in school, according to the local school district. He had been living with two adult legal guardians, who contacted the district after discovering he was actually 24 years old and not a teenager—apparently after the mother of his child exposed him and revealed his true identity.

The school district says that when he enrolled, he submitted falsified documents, including an Ohio driver's license, a Social Security number, and DHS TPS documentation. He even played on the school’s JV football and swim teams.

In a statement, the school district said the suspect’s deception was complex, and that multiple agencies had been misled by his forged records. ICE confirmed to Fox News that they have placed a detainer on Labrador Sierra with local police. He is currently being held on $50,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 29.
