'The longer this war goes on, the more likely it is that Ukraine will eventually collapse, and that would be a disaster for Europe, for Eastern Europe, for the United States and our allies. So ending this conflict is of the utmost importance. I think obviously we have to do everything we can to deter Putin from doing anything further.'
