"Bullshit!" Noem Blasts Newsom, Bass for Attack on ICE Officers

D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), June 7, 2025 — DHS Secretary Kristi Noem did not hold back during a fiery live phone interview on Fox & Friends Weekend, condemning Democrat leaders for allowing violent anti-ICE riots to spiral out of control during federal immigration raids in Los Angeles. “This is all—it’s all bullshit,” Noem said bluntly. “They don’t do it. They don’t fight for people.”

Noem specifically blamed California Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for encouraging unrest and refusing to support law enforcement. “These protesters were assaulting our officers, writing ‘Kill ICE,’ throwing things, attacking federal buildings, and perpetuating violence,” she said. “And these politicians were encouraging it—telling them to go in.”

Noem revealed that the LAPD refused to provide backup for over two hours, even as federal officers were being attacked. “Eventually, they responded—because they had to. But if they had come in immediately, none of this would have escalated,” she said. “All we were trying to do was arrest child traffickers and violent criminals to make communities safer.”

Fox’s Charlie praised Noem’s directness as she responded to Mayor Bass’s defense of illegal immigrants: “We’re going to fight for all Angelenos, whether they have papers or not.” Noem fired back: “They are politicians jeopardizing the lives of people for politics and an agenda. What we need is action right now. Be leaders for once.”

The Secretary noted that President Trump was awake and actively engaged overnight, coordinating a peaceful resolution. “Meanwhile, people like Hakeem Jeffries are standing in front of the world acting like it’s okay to write ‘Kill ICE’ or throw rocks at federal officers. That’s not okay. Not in America.”

Noem closed by warning that the same leaders who failed during the 2020 Minneapolis riots are doing it again. “Let’s not go back. We have rules, laws, and consequences. And we’re going to enforce them.”
