As we continue our study of the Book of Judges, today’s Scripture reading is Judges 4-5.
Because Israel sinned against the LORD, He “sold them [children of Israel] into the hand” of an enemy. After twenty years, the LORD heard Israel’s cry and moved on the heart of “Deborah, a prophetess…[who] judged Israel” (Judges 4:4).
Judges 5 records a song sung by Deborah that celebrates Israel's victory over its enemies.
