US Lawmaker Urges Pakistan To Take Action On Terror, Eliminate JeM | N18G

Pakistan’s anti-India propaganda backfired in the US, as former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari-led delegation got an earful from an American lawmaker for not doing enough to combat terrorism. US Congressman Brad Sherman called on Pakistan to “do all it can” to eliminate the vile terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Sherman raised the brutal kidnapping and beheading of the American journalist Daniel Pearl by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002. The US lawmaker also urged the Pakistan government to release Dr Shakeel Afridi, who helped the US in killing the wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Afridi is serving a jail term of 33 years in Pakistan for helping to kill a terrorist. Sherman called on the Pakistani government to protect religious minorities. Pakistan's delegation timed its visit to Washington around the Indian parliamentarians' trip for Operation Sindoor outreach. However, Pakistan's copy-paste diplomatic move embarrassed it globally.
