Welcome to the Show.
The 2015 Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) limited Iran’s uranium enrichment and was monitored by the IAEA in exchange for sanctions relief. While the deal effectively curbed Iran’s nuclear program, it faced strong opposition from Israeli PM Netanyahu and U.S. hawks, who preferred regime change.

Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018 under pressure from these groups, despite Iran’s compliance. Now, he’s ironically seeking to re-engage Iran diplomatically, aiming for a new deal similar to the JCPOA. This shift has angered Israel and hardliners who oppose any Iranian enrichment.

Trump is caught between pursuing diplomacy and facing pressure for military action, with the outcome of current talks uncertain.
