Candace Owens - Blake Lively's case is CRUMBLING
Candace Owens: Blake Lively’s case is crumbling and the truth is coming to light
Candace Owens is back in the spotlight with a sharp, decisive take on what could be a turning point in the ongoing legal battle involving Blake Lively. In a message filled with clarity and determination, Owens highlighted what she sees as a crucial victory: Lively has dropped two of the most serious claims in her lawsuit—those related to the alleged infliction of emotional distress. This doesn’t just weaken her case; for many observers, it effectively dismantles it.
In her original complaint, Blake Lively heavily relied on emotional language. She used the word “suffer” or its variations more than 30 times and referenced terms like “emotional” and “distress” repeatedly, painting a narrative of profound psychological harm. However, now that the lawsuit is entering the discovery phase—a critical stage in any civil trial—her legal team has chosen to abandon those specific claims.
The reason is simple, as Owens points out: discovery demands evidence. If someone claims extreme emotional damage, they must prove it through medical records, psychiatric evaluations, prescriptions, or therapy notes. The opposing party, in this case Justin Baldoni’s team, has the legal right to request those documents. Faced with the prospect of exposing her private medical history and potentially lacking the documentation to back her claims, Lively’s team opted to withdraw. They added a legal note that they might reintroduce those claims later, likely when discovery is no longer possible.
Most notably, the presiding judge, the Honorable Judge Liman, sided firmly with Baldoni’s team. His ruling is straightforward: if Lively doesn’t formally withdraw all emotional distress allegations, she will be barred from presenting any related evidence at trial. In other words, the emotional core of her case would be entirely excluded, stripping away its most dramatic component.
For Owens and many conservatives, this case highlights the problem of emotional victimhood culture promoted by modern progressivism. Celebrities with massive platforms and legal teams are increasingly using courtrooms as emotional battlegrounds rather than spaces of objective justice. Lively’s attempt to dramatize a legal situation without solid evidence fits this troubling trend.
This partial win for Baldoni’s team is more than a legal milestone—it’s a reminder that the courts can still push back against baseless narratives. Owens, as a strong voice within conservative America, pinpointed the heart of the matter: truth doesn’t need emotional flair; it needs facts.
The case isn’t over yet, but the collapse of its key claims is a clear sign that the house of cards is falling. And if the justice system stays on this path, the days of exploiting it with media-driven sentimentalism may soon be over.
