▶️Moridigan Deadborn Nemesis Review◀️

Welcome to album review tuesdays guys and i sincerely hope you have enjoyed all of the content so far here on the channel! So tonight we are going north to germany with Moridigan-Deadborn Nemesis. Moridigan are a brutal death metal band hailing from Hanover, Lower Saxony Germany. Yes i have 2 of Moridigan's albums This one and Spawns of the minds abyss. They have only put out 2 full length albums and one demo called Accursed back in 2009. Deadborn nemesis was released in 2015 on Kernkraftritter records.

The lineup consists of
Arnheim Vocals
Marco Drums
Stefan Guitars
Simon Guitars

Alright lets just get right into this review shall we. So this brutal record opens with the track "Eaters of Light" and we are immediately treated to the groovy brutality and thundering insanity that this record is spewing forth from its vile disgusting precipice which here is offering nothing but neck breaking violence and vengence upon the listener. The riffing and drums and vocals are executed with astounding conviciton and perfection that you could easily compare this to greats like Nile and Skinless, etc etc.

They have a very classic old school sound that fits right in with alot of OSDM bands as well but with a much harder evident brutality that peremeates the material. One thing i love about this record right off the bat is the production.

Its raw and filthy the way death metal should fucking be and its not concered with notoriety or trends. There is also some amazing technicality happening here but its not over emphasized and the band know when to be technical and when to be primitive and basic. This combination worls really fucking well! This is a killer opener guys!

Next up we have the title track "Deadborn Nemesis" which keeps the steamroller of brutal gut wrenching intensity and the lead guitars definitely play a startling role here because there is some incredible leads going on here combining with the deep cutting brutal chunks of meat riffs that also make way to some incredible cutting groove sections that make this anything but predictable boring death metal. If more bands were like Moridigan? I could easily see myself loving death metal alot more than i do.

Moridigan are the exception here because I don't find myself scoffing at the music or saying " jesus another fucking death metal band" These guys know how to incorporate deep variety but also keeping things very oriented and firmly planted in the death metal aesthetic and atmosphere that this record is drenched in. This is an absolutely astounding track. And im sure you guys can here it playing in the background! Killer stuff here too!

Next up we have "The Angel Maker" and the brutality and groovy technicality once again is on full display here but its also got some great atmospheric textures in alot of places because of those astounding lead guitar riffs that never allow the music to get predictable or boring. This is a trend that can easily happen within the Brutal Death Metal banner because most bands are concerned with how fast and brutal they can play rather than delivering a memorable listening experience. One thing i will also mention is the sheer amount of passion and intensity of the emotion delivered here both in the insturmentation and the vocals. This is another masterpiece of a song too!
