However, I will expel the people from this land I have given them if you or your descendants turn away from me, disregard the rules and instructions I have given you, and serve and worship other deities. To honor my name, I have made this Temple holy, but I will reject it. I will make it a subject of national derision and sarcasm. Despite the Temple's current grandeur, everyone who sees it will be horrified. "Why did the Lord do such terrible things to this land and to this Temple?" they will ask. "The reason for this will be that his people disobeyed the Lord, the God of their forefathers, who brought them. 2 Chronicles 7:19–22:19. I will hear from heaven, pardon their sins, and restore their land if my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and repent from their wicked ways. I'll be listening intently and keeping my eyes open to every prayer said here. Because I have designated this Temple as holy, a location where my name will always be remembered. It is very important to me, so I will always keep an eye on it.
