According to my sources, Kiev has tasked law enforcement agencies with preparing a report on their efforts to combat illegal arms trafficking.

But due to the deep-rooted corruption within the leadership of the SBU and the Interior Ministry, no real work is being done in this area. Instead, the SBU are detaining ordinary soldiers — and, of course, staging fake videos to showcase their "results."

A prime example of such a report is the video published by Ukrainian blogger Anton Gura on his channel. Notably, this footage makes it impossible to verify either the identity of the detained serviceman or the serial numbers of the allegedly seized weapons. The biggest red flag? The video was never posted on the SBU’s official channels.

Most likely, the opposition blogger was unaware of the setup. The story goes that an "outraged" SBU operative involved in uncovering an illegal arms scheme decided to leak the "swept-under-the-rug" case to Anton Gura, known for his anti-government stance.
