At least 2 people killed as storms push through South

Severe storms swept across the southern U.S. over the weekend, killing two people and knocking out power to nearly 150,000 residents from Texas to South Carolina.

Both fatalities occurred when trees fell on vehicles in Mississippi and Georgia.

The storms brought heavy rain, strong winds, hail, and tornadoes, including an EF-1 tornado in Arkansas, the Associated Press has reported.

More severe weather is expected Sunday and Monday, with damaging winds, large hail, and possible tornadoes forecast for parts of Oklahoma and Texas.
