Wine Served by a Robot

On a recent visit to the much-acclaimed Winepark at MYRIA resort and Spa, I can’t believe it has taken many trips here to discover the bar served by a robot. Yes, a robot!

Each position around the semicircular bar is assigned a number. Guests order by using a computer menu embedded in the bar explaining each wine that is available.

The robot then takes over and delivers the wine, without spilling a drop, to the person who ordered it.

I sampled a wine that MYRIA’s winemaker created with the use of AI to select the various grapes to make the perfect wine…and it was outstanding.

And yes I sampled more than one of these incredible wines.

The hostess, a young woman named Veronika, who by the way spoke nearly perfect English, was very helpful, explaining the various wines, and how to use the automated system.

After a rather long time, others began to join me at the bar, ordering, and marveling at the robot. I didn’t think to ask Veronika if the robot had a name. I hope it does.

And, of course, we ended the visit with the purchase of one of our favorite wines…a Winepark Kokur that we will save for a special occasion.
