So, the fact of the matter is... nostalgia is cancer, yes, but... it's also what keeps most men going, it's what keeps society in check. If it weren't for the "good ol' days" argument that most ppl follow on a regular basis, then our world would be completely dead and that's just a harsh reality. You see, even if you progress through life and don't really look back, at least not consciously, you will always be reminded of the "what could've been" days or the "remember when" thoughts that occupy your brain. Usually, it only takes a bad day or an event that makes you spiral back to your younger self and what it felt like when you didn't have modern responsibilities and absolute nihilistic tendencies that, unfortunately, most young people nowadays call "virtuous".
