How many judges have issued nationwide injunctions against the Trump administration? Are they legal? While the case United States v. CASA is about Trump’s birthright citizenship executive order, the question brought before the court was the constitutionality of these nationwide or universal injunctions.

When Congress created the District Courts, they put them in limited districts for a reason. Do we really want unelected judges effectively setting national policy through their court orders or injunctions? Forum shopping will continue to allow petitioners to seek out friendly judges to aid their cause. Especially when those judges are issuing injunctions long before the merits of the case are heard.
