Waving American Flag - April 2019

I've made a few waving American Flags and have seen several different methods of creating the waves. I came up with this method myself. There are 1/8" strips behind the white stripes. I attach the pieces to the table and carve the waves. After reassembling the flag, the white stripes are 1/8" thinner than the red ones. After the wave is ground, I lay out the stars on the union and carve those by hand. This gives the stars the same wave as the rest of the flag. Watch the next video to see the assembly.
