The guest of the first episode of Rick Sanchez’s new RT show, ‘The Sanchez Effect’, is Vladimir Medinsky, the head of Russia’s delegation for negotiations with Ukraine.

The Russian president’s assistant discusses progress towards a peace settlement, noting that the main issue is that Ukraine does not make decisions independently. According to Medinsky, Kiev could have signed a peace treaty as early as February 28, 2022, but its Western backers wanted military action instead. He also commented on the difficulties that arise during the negotiation process.
